The Self Report is a series of posts on Reena’s Edit for mental health and wellness. These may include the newest research, previous or current experiences, and methods of care by Reena or featured guests. Some subjects we will cover are body love, the importance of self care, daily rituals for mental health, recommended products or services, self valuation, and creating your future.
Whether we have learned these lessons, or haven’t lived up to that age yet, we as humans will all go through trials and triumphs.
1. Your choices design the life you live in.
In every moment, you make a choice. Every morning you choose if you combat the day with a positive mindset. Every decision you choose if you make it out of love. You get out of life what you decide to get out of it. At 80, will you be satisfied with the way you spent the years of your life?
2. There are no mistakes, only lessons learned.
Acknowledge every ‘negative’ situation and leave with a positive lesson. Such situations will repeat until you learn a lesson trying to be taught to you.
3. You must have a mindset for growth.
It does not happen naturally. Growing is not easy; you must want to grow. Some situations might be painful, but one day this might be useful to you. Every case is an opportunity for growth. Will you find a message in every tough time?
4. Your true beauty is what’s inside.
When you really know someone, you know them by their inner spirit. The energy they give off is what people take in. Don’t dirty your energy with bad vibes; don’t allow drama and negativity to poison your soul. Avoid it and focus on what truly matters to you as your time is so precious. Anything that’s taking away the beauty you have inside, free yourself from those pressures.
5. People take in what you give off.
When you act out of love, they receive love. When you show respect, they give you respect. Always treat others with the same love as you wish for them to treat you with.
