The Self Report: Reena’s Simple Morning Routine

The Self Report is a series of posts on Reena’s Edit for mental health and wellness. 1. Set Your INTENTIONS

Instead of reaching for your phone, take a few deep breaths in bed and tell yourself that today is going to be a good day.

Your body hears everything THAT YOUR MIND SAYS.

2. Gratitude JOURNAL

I use the Five Minutes Journal that asks these questions:

  • 3 things you’re grateful for
  • 3 things that would make today amazing
  • An affirmation

3. Start Your Day Off on the RIGHT FOOT

In the book Miracles Now, an old Kandalini technique suggests to step out of bed on your dominant foot.

 

4. Hot Water with LEMON

Every morning, I prepare a cup of hot water with a fresh slice of lemon. Lemon juice flushes out toxins and boosts your immune system.

It’s also great for the skin!

5. Something That BRINGS YOU JOY

While sipping on my lemon water, I like to do something that makes me feel good. Even if it’s just 10 minutes. Reading, podcast, face massage, taking a walk, anything that brings you joy.

Wouldn’t it be amazing if instead of rushing out the door, you could enjoy your morning coffee or tea by taking your time?
