Wash your face with soap and luke warm water. When rinsing, rinse with luke warm water as well. I have been using these recipes for years now. Mix and lather one on right before a bath and let it sit while you enjoy a lovely bath.
Brown Sugar and Olive Oil

2 tablespoons brown sugar and 2 tablespoons olive or coconut oil
Keep on for 7 minutes and rinse with warm water.

Vinegar as Toner

1/4 cup apple cider vinegar with 1/4 cup water
Let dry and use twice a week.

Keep on face for 30 minutes before rinsing.
